How Does the Nexus 5 Stack Up Next to the iPhone 5S?
Google is working hard to steal market share from Apple with the release of the Nexus 5 and the Android 4.4 operating system called KitKat. How does the new Nexus 5 stand up to iPhone 5s?
The Nexus 5 has a 5 inch display compared to the iPhone 5s with a 4 inch screen. Which means more screen real estate, but it is a larger device, which is not for everyone.
The Apple OS is simple and clean. The Android OS is much more customizable. If you don’t like the way an app works, no problem, you can change it. No so easy with iOS.
Both phones have 8MP cameras. Nexus 5 has optical image stabilization for getting clearer shots with sharp details even in low light. The iPhone 5 has dual two-toned LED flash for more realistic skin tones and is proven to take some of the best smartpone pics around.
The Nexus 5 has a 17 hour battery life and the iPhone5S has 10 hours.
Then there is the cost factor, $349 for a contract free Nexus 5 phone compared to $649 for the iPhone 5s.
Both are pretty great devices. I think it is a matter of individual preference. Which do you prefer Android or Apple?
